Besides branding I don’t see what is so special about the Baby Milo Nintendo DS Lite. Sure, it’s kind of cute. It might even be worth 16,800 yen ($168) since that’s close to the price of a plain Nintendo DS in Japan. However, retail stores in Hong Kong are selling the limited edition item for around $750. The cheapest I’ve seen it is around $700.
The BAPE stores in Asia (i.e. Asia outside of Japan) are aware of the item, but don’t carry it. Well, here it is the hot item in with both sides of the packaging in case you haven’t seen in anywhere else.

@scatch - that’s true, I guess I’m not the kind of person to buy into hype hahaha.
$750, nuts.. that’s like the combined price of a 360 & PS3. Can’t say I like this design at all, like some stickers slapped onto it.
So far none of the special edition of DSs or PSPs caught my interest, I prefer my systems plain and simple (onyx DS & ceramic white PSP w/o Vader head).
@James - Baby Milo is a character from BAPE (A Bathing Ape), a Japanese fashion brand sported by many celebrities including some from the US like Kayne West.
I don’t think I could begin to justify to myself spending on hyped stickers.. I’d rather get the gel stickers that do the whole DS if I decided to gussy up the thing.
I still like the pink Electroplankton limited edition one the best.
It’s even more expensive than the New Years special Red (3000 HKD or 370 USD)… Never did understood the whole Bape fad…
Yeah it’s pretty whatever.
Now if they make a KAWS DS, that’s a different story…

you’d be surprised. hypebeasts eat this kind of stuff alive and money is really no object to them.
