Sample the J-Pop on Taiko no Tatsujin DS 2’s seven islands

taikov2.jpgSeven islands and eight J-Pop tracks are part of Taiko no Tatsujin DS: 7-tsu no Shima no Daibouken, which comes out in Japan this week. Some of you might be eager to import it because of the influx of mascot characters joining Wada-Don. I previously mentioned Doraemon, Oshiri Kaji Mushi and the [email protected] will be part of this mix. The Soulcalibur II theme “Brave Swords, Braver Soul” too, but I don’t think a cute version of Nightmare will be dancing in the background.

In case you were thinking about importing the game since it’s coming out this week I thought it might be helpful for the J-Pop uninitiated to have an idea of what songs are in the game. Listen closely and see the music videos below.

Peach (Ai Otsuka)

Ai Uta (GReeeeN)

Age Age Every Knight (DJ Ozma)

Lifetime Respect – Onna Hen – (RSP)

Ikenai Taiyou (Orange Range)

Tentai Kansoku (Bump of Chicken)

Love So Sweet (Arashi)

Linda Linda (The Blue Hearts)

  • Of course the versions in Taiko will be cover versions of varying degrees of quality.

  • @alice – Yes, you’re right the Taiko versions will be covers, cuts and most likely much lower sound quality than a standard CD.

  • Daizyujin

I am just elated about Go-Onger being on there. Last time we got the Gekiranger song but not the characters so this is pretty cool for us sentai fans. Would be great to get a “Taiko No Tatsujin: Sentai Edition” someday. Hey I can dream.

  • OMG! It has Peach and Ikenai Taiyou — both from the HanaKimi OST! And there’s an Arashi song and Bump of Chicken as well… Ureshii~
