Now, this is news I can get excited about.
Interplay has announced that they're bringing four of their classic IP's to the Wii, and in my estimation not soon enough. Earthworm Jim, Earthworm Jim 2, Boogerman, and Clayfighter as they originally appeared on the Sega Genesis (some also appeared on the SNES but we're getting the Genesis versions).
Earthworm Jim is easily one of my favorite games of all time. It's the humor in the writing that get me, much like my #1 all-time game… The Secret of Monkey Island.
It's also worth noting that this news is printed on Yahoo finance. I think the financial sector here in North America is finally looking at games as a viable market to talk about. Just a few days ago my mom told me they were talking about Grand Theft Auto on one of the money cable stations, and not cause it was a murder-simulator. No, they were interested in the money it was going to make for the stockholders. Weird.

The only one that comes to mind is “Level Ate”. I forget which game that was in.
@Mark
With regard to EWJ2, the SNES version had a few fancier backgrounds (akin to the 32-bit incarnations), while the MD version had smoother scrolling afaik. BGM-wise I couldn’t tell because I don’t trust SNES emulators with accuracy.
The only difference I can remember is that in EWJ 1 the first level boss make different noises.

Does anyone remember the advantages/disadvantages of the Genesis versions of Earthworm Jim 1/2?
