And here’s Melty Blood: (Actress) Again

By Spencer . July 10, 2008 . 11:02am

Melty Blood has come a long way from being a homemade fighting game to a third arcade revision scheduled to come out this summer in Japan. This is the opening video for Melty Blood: Actress Again and core Melty Blood players should be able to identify the brief flashes of Roa and Riesbyfe.

Back at the Aksys Guilty (Gear) Panel the staff crushed hopes that they were working on a localization of Melty Blood: Act Cadenza, the PlayStation 2 version of Melty Blood which was published by Sega in Japan. The best chance for the world to get their hands on a Melty Blood console game is if it is sold as a downloadable game. Perhaps some publisher will go that route with Melty Blood: Actress Again.

goodbye Ciel CC shield cancel, i won’t miss you AT ALL. HAHAHA!

The fact that it’s on Naomi hardware makes it an easy price of entry for smaller arcades. It’s too bad most people pass it off as a “loli game” GG rip-off and don’t give it the benefit of the doubt. MB is quite a deep game

on a serious note though, i’d play this over SF4 any day of the week. Arcade owners know not to even TOUCH SF4 for high price of entry. Why spend $18000 on a SF4 kit when everyone is going to get the console and PC version in 3 months time for only $59?

18 grand?! man, that is some seriously prohibitive pricing. there’s no way an arcade could make any money back on that machine before the console version hits.

Well honestly, there is no pricing for SF4 stand-alone units (yet). In japan, preorders for networked units of 4 can be sold as a set for $40000 (and they can’t be split). The 18k figure is how much a Tekken 6 standalone unit costs. Make your own assumptions from that on how much it’ll cost…
