Sega to distribute Astonishia Story 2, I mean Garnet Chronicle

as.jpgSK Telecom hasn’t set a date for Astonishia Story 2 in Korea, but development must be progressing nicely since it’s coming out in Japan on October 23 under the name Garnet Chronicle. I played the Korean demo and the experience is punishing. Astonishia Story 2 strangely shares something in common with Metal Gear Solid, you have to sneak around. If any enemy gets the first strike you’re finished. Hardcore RPG fans will enjoy the challenge, though. Seeing Sega involved with the project as a distributor is a promising sign for Ironnos. Astonishia Story was published in Japan by Compile Heart as one of their first games. Sega can provide much more marketing support and maybe even a localized release in the future.

They should leave this horrible series in Korea.

@Tom: I dunno. I haven’t tried the second one myself but I hear that everything that sucked about the first one was turned around and improved upon. Personally I LOVED the retro look but the battles sucked.
