You can get Battle Fantasia for the PS3 in English

Battle Fantasia is coming out in North America this September, but for the Xbox 360 only. A PlayStation 3 version is already out in Japan, but the story is obviously in Japanese. For a fighting game, Battle Fantasia has an unusually high amount of text since it’s a fusion of an RPG and a 2.5D fighting game. If you're patient you won't have to worry about the Japanese text. 505 Games will release the Xbox 360 version and PlayStation 3 version of Battle Fantasia in Europe in Q1 2009.

  • jarrod - I've heard the same re: MS and shiki III60.

    sucks that SCEA can still deny games for no voice localization after letting Ryu ga Gotoku 2 do it. Not that I'm complaining about that one!

    @Simon
    Yup. PS3 is Region Free

    Rumor has it SCEA denied the PS3 release due to no voice localization.

    I've also heard Microsoft was behind us not getting Shikigami III60.

    ps3 is region-free.
    i find it really odd that it's 360 only. i'll grab it for 360 if it's region-free. i know the jp edition is locked, so i didn't wanna pony up for it, but i'll pay full price for a region-free american version.

    Can my US PS3 play the europe english version if I import it?
  • It's not like your characters persistently level up, but the console version has a full story mode with voice acting/text and branching paths to follow.

    I've seen tons of battles (arcade version), but never saw any RPG element which is new for Battle Fantasia. Could you explain it pls?
  • Keriaku
    What kind of RPG elements does this game have?
