A Witch’s Tale Hit By A Delay Spell

By Spencer . October 8, 2008 . 2:49pm

This summer NIS America announced A Witch’s Tale, a Halloween themed RPG with touch screen controls made in partnership with Hitmaker. A Witch’s Tale was supposed to come out this October and NIS America has yet to show any actual gameplay. That’s a pretty bad sign. I pinged NIS to check on the status of the project and was told the “project is pending right now… we’re not sure when it we’ll resume, but we’ll let you know.” One thing is clear though A Witch’s Tale won’t be coming out this year.

In case you aren’t familiar with the project here’s a look at the teaser trailer.

we don't even know how this is supposed to play, do we?

I hope they don't cancel it, as I really do like the designs of the characters.
  • It's weird that they are saying this so close to release. Hitmaker hasn't got the best track record but I was still looking forward to this.

That's disappointing, I thought hitmaker's stuff was sadly underrated mostly due to general disdain for its platform (PSP, since all PSP RPGs are compared to PS2 RPGs). I was hoping a DS game from them might be better received...(since they just get compared to SNES or GBA RPGs)

Are they going to tell us what kind of game it is, or do we have to buy it to find out?

it's an action RPG from what I have heard
