Atlus Is Probably Working On A World Changing RPG Starring A Selfish Princess

By Spencer . November 7, 2008 . 8:55am

The ESRB just leaked My World, My Way a new game from Atlus USA. Since the game hasn’t been announced we can’t confirm what it is, but I have a pretty good guess. There is a game in Japan for the Nintendo DS called Sekai wa Atashi de Mawatteru (The World Revolves Around Me) where you play as a  princess who has the power to change the world around her. The princess can swap the land tiles around her by playing with a grid and alter the strength of her enemies before she gets into 3D battles.

So why do I think My World, My Way is the English version of Sekai wa Atashi de Mawatteru? First, the English title is similar to the Japanese name. Second, Atlus has a relationship with Global A, the developer of Sekai wa Atashi de Mawatteru. Master of the Monster Lair is the connection between the two companies. Here’s a trailer of what might be announced as a 2009 game by Atlus.

I can’t say the trailer and artwork for the game does it for me. But I’ll keep an eye on it since it’s Atlus.

  • Mazen

I think you are right spencer,
    Beautiful art as usual.

    Dear lostinblue,

    Do you have a life?
Seriously, every time I come here to read news. (Sometimes i read the comments)
I always see your name here.
It’s like your the elite troll of this blog. (Good or bad?)
I mean you even change your username.
Your name wasn’t originally lostinblue right? (lol)
It was something else. (i read this in past comments)
    Is this all you do?

Mildly interested, I can’t see this doing much worse than Master of the Monster Lair. As long as we get the new Devil Summoner games for DS and PS2, I can’t complain.

@death: don’t like it? ignore it. actually your post says about you than him. almost like you’re jealous of the attention he gets. if you really think he’s a troll (damnnnn) then DON’T FEED HIM!

  • jeffx

    *more about you

anyway lostinblue is backed. he’s a good commenter.

  • Is this happening in the same world as Master of the Monster Lair? I notice that the cat fighters in the trailer are similar to the ones from the Master game.

  • Jenni

I can’t believe it! I’m so happy I didn’t import a copy now. Great catch!

@ Death – I changed my nick because that’s what I usually use in other blogs/forums, or rather, the previous one wasn’t my nick, it was my name. This blog is the only one where I did use my real life name (which says a lot about it) so and for coherency sake with other places and privacy, I changed it.

It was never a secret, and if you heard regarding me changing nick it was most likely aknowledged by me on the spot. Not to mention I believe for each new nick you enter the initial comment is left for evaluation and approval, and when I did that I left my original email (which I’m still using) it’s not published, sure, but I believe it says a lot of my motivations/intentions. In my book everyone is entitled to change nicks providing they’re not registering after a ban or commenting with both.

And yes, I have a life, when I commented this I had just arrived from the University, and sometimes I even spend days without coming here (not because I want to, be assured)

With this said, I’d really like to know more about this game since in other comments I’m spotting some interest… Is Master of the Monster Lair good? I wasn’t even aware of such game until now.

Oh, dude! I was kind of interested in this game for how shamelessly girly it was. I might actually pick it up if Atlus is bringing it over.

Hopefully the princess doesn’t turn into one of those goody-goody types by the end. Selfishness FTW.

  • Ana

Oh man, that is so awesome. <3 you Atlus.

  • Mikael

Interesting concept, I hope its well executed

    *surrounding the lostinblue attack*
Pretty pathetic sight, especially how easy people are o judge or are to claim someone uses his free time wrong.
Wish didn’t see those type of people around here but they are everywhere.

  • Pichi

Just the concept alone interests me, so if Atlus brings it over, I’ll be all over it!

  • Nabe

Global A’s the folk that made that peculiar geisha simulator right? Why won’t Atlus bring that over? :)

  • There sure are a lot of princess games coming out as of late. Or was I not paying well enough attention before?

  • Sayckeone

This game looks terrible. Atlus has been localizing a lot of trash lately.
