Status Of The Silver Case DS Remake

By Spencer . December 23, 2008 . 11:55am

image Two GDCs ago Grasshopper Manufacture head honcho and “punk” video game developer Goichi Suda noted the Silver Case was being remade for the Nintendo DS. The Silver Case was one of Grasshopper Manufacture’s earlier games and since it was a text adventure it wasn’t high on import lists. Instead of seeing the Silver Case on the DS we got a port of Flower, Sun, and Rain. So, we should be getting the Silver Case soon then?

Maybe not. In an interview with Gamasutra Suda explains “it needs time” and right now he is busy developing No More Heroes 2 now. Also in the interview Goichi Suda also talks about foreign staff on his team. Hmm… I wonder who he could be talking about…

Is it because it’s going to go through a lot of sanitizing. I still hope it gets released, might help people to be more interested with FSR.

  • jarrod

Why would Suda need to be involved directly, Marvelous handed off the FSR port to h.a.n.d. anyway (Grasshopper was barely involved iirc). Couldn’t they just do that again?

So, either my comment was removed or I didn’t actually hit “Submit Comment” when I wrote it, but… are you implying that Tim Rogers is working on No More Heroes 2, Spencer?

  • geebee

Um.. if Suda is seriously working with Tim Rogers, I’m done playing his stuff.
