It is POWERFUL! I suck at platformers and the controls are awkward as all Hell, but it is very addictive! Just like a good roguelike, it is left to the player to decide how to progress through the level, either make a run straight for the exit or completely explore the level for all bits of cash. Heck, the game even pulls something from the old Berzerk series if you stay on a level too long (word to the wise, heed that warning when you're told you should exit soon). As far as I can tell killing baddies is completely meaningless other than a way to get them out of your way (if guarding some important treasure, for example). The only exception to this being that I think some of the bigger baddies will drop useful treasures if defeated. Your score is entirely based on cash you manage to escape the game with but, by that same token, if you save up enough cash you can buy some amazing stuff at the various shops that spring up but in so doing completely tank your cash based score. You can, if bold enough, try to rip the shop off, but from what I've seen the shop keepers are pretty quick with very fatal weaponry.
