Nintendo DS Elebits Electrifies Stores With Stealth Release

By Spencer . January 7, 2009 . 9:00am

image Oh, remember a little game called Elebits: Adventures of Kai & Zero? All of the sudden it’s in retail stores across North America. The funny thing is many weekly release lists missed this and put Retro Game Challenge in its place. Retro Game Challenge won’t come out until February.

Missing Elebits isn’t really a huge blunder of other sites though. Konami sprung the release date nearly out of the blue and Nintendo’s Q1 list didn’t help much with a vague “Q1 2009″ release target for Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero. Whoops!

Anyway Elebits: The Adventures of Kai and Zero is out now, it plays kind of like Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, and I hope this doesn’t botch Konami’s future plans for the series. When we last spoke to them another Elebits game for the Wii was in the pipeline.

  • If they actually advertised this I think it would sell pretty well. What a shame it doesn't seem like that's happening.

Well I did my part by preordering it. I really like the Team Elebits' games.
I hope NTSC-U and PAL teritories can make up for this game's lackluster sales in Japan.

I think the Korean version (with English) was released in 2008, if it matters. Anyway I want this.
