Here’s Your Limited Edition Final Fantasy VII PS3

image Remember the three versions of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete? One of them is a PlayStation 3 hardware bundle containing Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete, the coveted Final Fantasy XIII demo disc, and a special “Cloud Black” console with a 160GB hard drive. While 160GB PS3s are nothing new for us the Cloud Black PS3 is the first 160GB PlayStation 3 for Japan and Sony is pricing it accordingly. The Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children bundle will retail for 49,980 yen ($550) when it comes out on April 16.

The Final Fantasy XIII Trial Version Set package comes with demo too and it retails for 5,900 yen ($65). Meanwhile a standalone copy of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete goes for 4,900 yen ($53). That’s right Square Enix is charging you an extra 1,000 yen ($11) for the demo which for all we know could be released as a free download over the PlayStation Network in the future.

Well looks like i’m about shell out 65 bucks, hopefully play asia or amazon has it. The ff7 ps3 looks nice but I think it could have had alot more detail. The ryu ga gotoku ps3 looks the best.

It’s not a bad PS3, but I still think the Yakuza 3 one tops them all. The good thing about this one is that it’s noticeable, unlike the Biohazard one…

Spencer, for the curious importers, you should probably add in a few tidbits regarding the blu-ray, like an English-language option…and the presence of a new 20-minute OVA.

But back on subject…damn. Yoichi Wada is one shrewd dickstain…charging for demos. Asshole needs to get bent.

I saw there is an English voice option in the press release, but it isn’t clear if the whole movie is going to be in English – including the new scenes – or if the English dialogue is just going for the existing cut a la Square Enix’s “International” PlayStation 2 games so I left that out.

      • QBasic

From what I know, there will be no English subtitles. As for the new scenes…I’m lost.

Unlike videogames…this is a little tricky to pull off. You can’t just mute out a part of the movie because it lacks voice actors…and slapping in subtitles without them turned on is just awkward.

And I doubt they’d rehire all the English VAs for a Japan-only release….

    Yo that looks awesome

Let the rediculously overpriced ebay sales begin nnnnnnnnnnnow!

I think this officially indicates that it is time for me to get a PS3 now.

And what colour is the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children PS3 anyways? It looks like a mix between black and silver…

    • QBasic

      Um…a less olive-tinted gunmetal?

And later people ask why we like the PS3…..
