New Ninja Blade Footage Has Far Fewer QTEs

By Spencer . January 20, 2009 . 1:06pm

In From Software’s eyes quick time events can be used for anything in Ninja Blade. Combos, throwing wires, and even making Ken land gracefully are all done with a little help from QTEs. Outside of those there is an actual game to play. Here’s a look at Ninja Blade’s frantic giant beetle fights and blue shadow dashes.

Fuck the haters, this shit looks tight

The game looks mad good, aside from the main character looking a little cheesy for a ninja.

The beetle reminds me of the volcano turtle boss in Ninja Gaiden 2, at least it prompts you to dodge here, instead of just blowing up in your face w/o telling you what to do (who would think that you needed to press block).

It don’t look bad at all and the demo was quite a bit of fun. I am sure it will be a solid rental, but I can’t see it being anything close to Ninja Gaiden 2.

That’s true, Ninja Gaiden 2 would be pretty hard to beat, the action is frantic and just perfect. Somehow I see them as different sort of games, even though both have ninja. It feels a little Heaven Sword-ish. Still interested though.

The game reminds me Shinobi for the ps2, the character shadow when is running.
