A Bucketful Of Blue Dragon: Ikai no Kyoju Screens

By Spencer . March 18, 2009 . 2:39pm

imageSometime this year Blue Dragon: Ikai no Kyoju will come out in Japan and bring shadow swapping, Mecharobo powered debuffing, and MMO-lite gameplay to the Nintendo DS.

Will the game come out here? Nothing official has been said, but there is something curious in this massive batch of media. The area introductions are written in Japanese and English. Blue Dragon: Ikai no Kyoju isn’t the first game to have dual text, of course. Mistwalker head honcho Hironobu Sakaguchi did this with Final Fantasy VII. However, companies tend to include English subtitles when, you know, they’re going to localize something.

    Whoa, nice.
Considering I’m a huge JRPG fan, I should buy a new DS lite.

By this logic we’re getting 7th Dragon and Brandish PSP too, because they’re full of English text!

Still, this game looks more fun than the SRPG.

Hahaha! OK you have a fair point. The way the text is set up looks like some Final Fantasy games where there were being prepped for localization early on. A game this ambitious sounds like it has to have an international release…

Do we know the co-developer of this one yet?
