Follow Us on Twitter & Win A DJ Max Fever Limited Edition

By Louise Yang . March 20, 2009 . 12:45pm

Platinum Crew for DJ Max Fever and Technika is now open. It’s an online service and community that lets DJ Max fans upload their scores and view stats and mission accomplishments. Imagine it as an online leaderboard for DJ Max. There will also be missions, songs, and tournaments connected to the service. Players can win DJ Max merchandise through Platinum Crew’s ranking system. The service rolls out in April, so check out the official site for monthly contests.

To celebrate the unveiling of Platinum Crew, Siliconera will be hosting a contest! One lucky reader will win a DJ Max Fever Limited Edition, provided generously by PM Studios. The rare set includes a copy of the game, soundtrack, art book, puzzle, post cards, and mask. Each set is customized for the winner and autographed by the entire DJ Max team. Only 30 copies of the DJ Max Fever Limited Edition exist and they won’t be sold, but you can win one here!

To enter the contest, just follow these two steps:

  1. Follow us on our new Twitter feed.
  2. Tweet which song you’d like to see in a future DJ Max game and tag your tweet with #siliconera. For example, “I want the Milkshake song on DJ Max! #siliconera”. The songs can be from other DJ Max games, but they don’t have to be.
  3. The contest will end on March 27, 2009 at 11:59PM PST. We’ll announce the winner on Twitter shortly after that and send PM Studios your list of requested songs.

That’s it! Pretty easy right?

Our new Siliconera Twitter feed will give you the Siliconera you love in bite sized form. We’ll let you know what games we’ll be playtesting, upcoming highlights of the day before they land on the site, and use Twitter as a place to talk to the editors. Over Twitter you can send questions/comments, suggest topics to cover, etc. It’s a way for us to stay in touch with you.

I think I just followed the dirctions properly. Should my tweet show up in Siliconera’s timeline? I’m using Twitterfon on iPhone…

    • Yeah it should show up on the timeline… and it is now! We don’t need to follow you right away we can track the tweets as long as they say #siliconera.

  • pressstart

Does DJ Max games cover only certain genres? Or is it open to all suggestions?

    • It’s electronica, but we’re open to anything. Just tweet what you want!

  • Awesome, you’re on twitter!

Also, thanks for the DJMax promo.. another website had a similar one but only for US citizens :( I cried about that

EDIT: oh yeah, do you pick winners based on song picks or randomly?

    • Randomly of course :)

This is international so you’re welcome to enter!

I’m confused…. Only 30 copies of the Orpheus package were printed…? But…it was on Play-Asia for a while…and I have the silver version, too, but like…not all signed.

    • KCdash

They’re referring to the Fever package which is basically the same as the Orpheus package except the game which is replaced with Fever instead of Portable 2 and the signatures of the staff members at PM Studios. Yeah I know they should have at least altered the name on the box to make it less confusing but something tells me that they just simply switched the game and called it a day. Oh well I can’t wait to see when PM gets enough backing and hopefully release special editions packages commercially in the future.

      • QBasic

So much for the whole limited thinger; now it feels totally effortless.

I was honestly hoping for some really extravagant like Black Square’s LE…

  • Anorhc

I think I did it right. I hardly ever use Twitter, so this is nearly new territory for me.

  • I used #siliconera and didn’t see anything flashy, in my confusion, I added @siliconera.
    I… really want this game…
And yeah, Ray of Illuminati all the way!

  • Kaoro

Cool. I really haven’t understood where twitter fits in between IM and email and forums, but some people seem to love it.

Totally off-topic, but Louise mentioned Class of Heroes. Can you talk about your impressions yet or no? Very curious about the game.
