Space Invaders Extreme 2’s Moe Themed Stage

Space Invaders Extreme 2 has psychedelic visuals and flashing aliens. Defend the Earth from them well and you’re rewarded with… moe? One path to the fifth level replaces the usual seizure inducing background with shades of pink and a girl wearing a huge rabite.

 

We’ve seen signs that Square Enix will publish Space Invaders Extreme 2 in overseas under the name Space Invaders Extreme Remix. I wonder if they will leave this in or replace it with another surprise.

    If they do replace the entire stage theme, I hope something else Taito related makes it in. Wouldn't mind seeing a Bubble Bobble, Kiki KaiKai, Darius, or Cleopatra Fortune themed stage.
  • I saw this earlier today, but I love it even more now. The song reminds me of the 80s group, Lime.
    The girl sounds a lot like Dorthy from Arcana Heart 2, too.

    Trippy, the girl sounds so cute when she says "Space Invaders Extreme Tsuu" at the end.

    Fast pace stage to stage action...nice.
    Unnoticeable loading....nice.
