Wasn't crazy about the sequel but the original game is an old favorite of mine. No one can forget the comically gory “fountains of blood” after each kill.

I remember the DS game too. Maybe, like you said, it got changed into this. I totally agree it is refreshing to see RPG rebirths instead of puzzle games and PC ports.

I'm not going to say that I love Konami after how badly they messed up Suikoden Tierkreis, but if this is a full SRPG coming to digital distribution, I'll give three cheers to that. Hooray for this stuff not being relegated to the handhelds.

Wow, I remember hearing about a Vandal Hearts DS game a long time ago, but it never seemed to materialize. I wonder if this new downloadable game is basically the game they had planned for the DS? In any case, it's certainly interesting. It's nice to see the digital space being used for something other than indie-developed titles and simple puzzle games.
