Disappointing. I had hoped they ditched it, and started development for Grandia IV. If they decide to make Grandia IV, please let it be on 360/ PS3.

How is this even going to play? As others have said, the game's main draw is the combat system. I don't see how they will successfully implement this in a MMO. I'm predicting this will bomb.

I've only played 2 & 3.
Grandia 2 is one of my favourite RPGs of all time.
Granted, I have a thing for demon-girls, so that's to be expected I guess.
Grandia 3 had great graphics, but I thought the story and characters were generally meh.
I was just wondering the other day when if I'd see another Grandia game, this isn't really what I had in mind.
Oh well, at least Cross Edge will give me a demon-girl RPG soon.

How strange that this game suddenly surfaces after so much silence. I guess that's not totally unheard of, but I'm so used to developers shoveling out teasers all through the development process instead of quietly laboring away.

Anyway, I'm curious to see how this works, too. Grandia's big draw is its fast paced battles, and MMOs aren't exactly what immediately come to mind when I think of that.

Also, guess I didn't miss much by skipping out on 3...

Never got around to playing Xtreme, what with not being released in Europe and all. But I heard it was light on story and heavy on dungeon crawling. That must've been totally awesome. I wish someone would re-release it here, maybe on the Wii or something.

Amen. Although 3 was somewhat disappointing and 2 had nothing on 1. eXtreme was an odd beast and I LOVED IT!

If anything I'd take a HD remake of the first Grandia over a brand new entry. It was epic, in every sense of the term.

The hell? I haven't heard about this game in years. I'm cautiously optimistic, though I've no idea how they'll translate the battle system online - that's what makes the games great, after all.

I'd much rather see a Grandia IV; one that isn't rushed to completion with entire sections of the world completely ignored. Goodness gracious, Grandia 3 was so very, very forced out the door before it was done. I feel bad for GameArts. Enix took care of them, but Square Enix for some reason really hasn't been very kind.

I always assumed it was silently canned. Oh well, there go my hopes for a normal, offline Grandia.

Music by Noriyuki Iwadare? LOVED Grandia 2 on DC, though I never played the other Grandias. Wonder how this game will work.
