This morning Nintendo unveiled and stealth announced a slew of first party Wii games, but only Wii Sports Resort, New Super Mario Brothers Wii, and Wii Fit Plus are scheduled to come out this year. That’s a grand total of three games.

Endless Ocean 2 and Sin and Punishment 2 aren’t too far behind. Both games are scheduled to come out in the first quarter of 2010, which in plain English is sometime between January and March.

Highly anticipated games like Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid: Other M have a vague 2010 target.

Line Attack Heroes (pictured), Span Smasher, and Monado: Beginning of the World have even more ambiguous “TBD” targets. Nintendo could spring the first two games out sometime this year since English builds are at E3, but imagine for a second they don’t. Will the current three game meal satiate you?

Given Nintendo’s lineup over the past 12 months, in particular the last 6, it seems more like par for the course to me. On the other hand 2010 is going to be a big year.

I think the oddest thing for me is that they are going to be releasing an addon that only has one 1st party game that makes use of it. Of course that means it is on the 3rd parties to push it.
