Sorry, Last Rebellion Isn’t Coming Out In October

I met with NIS America today expecting to see Last Rebellion, but the PS3 game wasn’t at the show. Even though a press kit slated the game for release this year a representative from NIS explained the game is on hold and being overhauled. A revised release target was not mentioned.

A Witch’s Tale went through the same process last year. The Nintendo DS game, which also happens to be made by Hit Maker, will come out in North America on October 6.

You can bet this is due to the negative backlash, because of the games graphics. In fact I don't think many websites picked up on NIS America's comment shortly after the game was revealed they were quoted as saying "Yes we were actually a little embarassed to show the game off, the game is Alpha build and will look better when it releases". My guess is that it was set for release exactly as it looks, but after the complaints started to stack up they decided to leave it in the oven a bit longer.
