Level 5 Teasing 2009 Vision

imageLevel 5, the developer of Professor Layton and Dragon Quest IX, opened a teaser page for their yearly “Level 5 Vision”, a fancy name for a press conference.

While Level 5 worked on games for Sony and Square Enix, the Level 5 Vision media briefing is typically reserved for self published games like Inazuma Eleven.

ROID, a mobile phone platform, and Ni no Kuni: The Another World, a DS game with in development with the critically acclaimed animation studio Studio Ghibli, were unveiled at last year’s vision.

What will Level 5 reveal this year? Professor Layton is in the center of their Make a Legend logo…

They won't reveal other games they aren't publishing at this event, so no Sony or Square-Enix IPs.

I loved what they did to Dragon Quest VIII. I don't know why they weren't chosen for X.

We don't know who's making Dragon Quest X yet, but if they aren't I'd imagine it's because they've got too much on their plate as it is.
  • Wasn't there a listing for Ni no Kuni on a second console when the game was first revealed? I'm thinking it's got to be there at the conference provided it hasn't been cancelled.

Yes it was, it's suppose to come out on a console at a later date. I'm guess this conference will concentrate on everything they announced last year, the only thing they've managed to release out of those announcements were some Atamania games. Inazuma Eleven 2 is dated, but we still haven't heard anything about Inazuma Eleven Break, Ushiro, Cardboard Senki, or Ni no Kuni. I'm guess this conference will touch upon all of that, the new Layton trilogy, the Layton movie, and their ROID service. I'll be surprised if anything new is announced.
  • Fingers crossed! I agree ROID is probably going to be a big focus for them at the conference. Hoping to learn more about Ni no Kuni, too.
  • I want more info on Ushiro, that one really interests me. Ni no Kuni right behind it.
