Lost In Shadow Discovers Swordfighting

Lost In Shadow Discovers SwordfightingRemember Tower of Shadow? It’s coming to North America in summer 2010 under the name Lost in Shadow. So far, we’ve just seen a mysterious boy and Spangle (that’s the sylph) climb the tower, but they aren’t alone.

The tower contains a mix of shadowy creatures the boy has to fight. In this batch of screens you can see him brandishing a shadowy sword. In addition to Spangle and phantom foes, the tower contains other shadow beings Hudson has yet to reveal.

Lost in Shadow is in development for the Wii and apparently heading to PAL territories first.

Ooh that means it has a high chance of coming over to US too. Not that I was worried, nearly all of their games get brought over.

Really? I am worried about it not coming. =
    I hope they don't become Namco-like

No need to worry! Lost in Shadow is 100% confirmed for North America, as stated in the article. I saw the game with Hudson USA too awhile ago too.

Love the look of this game. So glad it's making it's way over here. It's interesting to see a 3d platformer-ish game with such a unique gameplay aspect. The combat only makes things more interesting. Will you be able to lure shadow enemies to their death by having them leap off the shadow of a ledge in pursuit of you? That would be fun. And difficult I imagine. Do we know how the Wii controls are going to play in?

On another note, this totally reminds me of Ico and games of that ilk. Is there a common staff?

  • jarrodand

No staff in common afaik, this is from the internal Hudson team that made the Kororinpa games.
