Apparently, "Resident Evil 5: Director’s Cut” Involves Jill Valentine

By Spencer . September 23, 2009 . 6:07pm

re5Patricia Ja Lee who voiced Jill Valentine (and did live action Haruhi promo videos) says an interview with UnwiredTV she just recorded new voice work for a Resident Evil 5: Director’s Cut. (Thanks for the tip Devin!!)

“So, I guess the news is already out, but I did a voice over for the Director’s Cut of Resident Evil 5,” Ja Lee says around the seven minute mark. “I guess it’s obvious that it’s going to at least be somewhat involving Jill.”

Since the news isn’t from Capcom, it isn’t clear if the “Director’s Cut” is going to be an expanded version of Resident Evil 5 sold in stores or downloadable content. I, like VG247 which discovered the video, think it’s going to be the latter. Doesn’t it feel too early to re-release Resident Evil 5?

It’s never too early to leech money.

    It could be a re-release

Maybe it’ll be something similar to a Game of the Year edition?

    • Maybe. I know when Silent Hill 2 was packaged as a Greatest Hits for the PS2 Konami added Maria’s scenario. It was short but really cool. They also added the “Dog Ending” which I don’t believe was originally included in the PS2 release when it first came out.
I’m inclined to believe its a DLC, though. I don’t mind since I don’t the game anyway.

Maybe you’ll get to play the scenario where Jill and Wesker go out the window.

Too early? Bah, its never too early money doesnt just appear in Capcoms bank account you know. Still according to what I understand this is a full dis re-release coming in the Spring. Though they could just release it both ways, DLC for those who already have the game and a disc to promote new sales.
