Sengoku Basara 3, Ghost Trick Confirmed For North America

By Spencer . September 23, 2009 . 8:16pm

image Capcom is putting their recently filed Sengoku Basara trademark to work. They just announced Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes and Ghost Trick as 2010 titles.

Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes is the international name of Sengoku Basara 3. This time Capcom plans on keeping the Japanese history, which they cut out when they localized Sengoku Basara as Devil Kings. Expect to see Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes on the PlayStation 3 and Wii next year.

Ghost Trick, which is on display at Tokyo Game Show, is a supernatural adventure game developed by part of the Ace Attorney team. Players take on the role of Sissel, a ghost investigating his own death. Sissel ghostly powers allow him to possess and levitate objects to scare the living. Capcom also included a time bending system which allows players to rewind time up to four minutes to prevent deaths. Ghost Trick is scheduled to come out on the DS next year.

Sweet, Sengoku Basara without the stupid changes. Capcom pretty much sucked last gen, but they are slowly becoming one of my favorites this gen.

Sucked last gen? Are you out of your mind?

Still, this Sengoku Basara a good news. Ghost Trick also interests me.

Nope, they really weren’t that good last gen. My opinion, of course. What do you think that they did well last gen? I don’t really recall playing any Capcom games that I really liked…

You’re completely entitled to your opinion =) I just thought it was a bold statement. I’ll try and think of my shelves to pull out a few random last gen’s (not including something too mediocre as I am easy to please and not including collections or ports of old stuff although they did have some nice ones; it’s not ‘new’). Dreamcast- MVC2, Gunspike(Cannon), El Dorado’s Gate for importers, Power Stone 2. PS2- Onimusha’s, Maximo’s, DMC1,3, Okami, Godhand, Viewtiful Joe. Xbox-hmm, just ports ;p GBA-Gyakuten Saibans. Gamecube-Resident Evil 0 and 4, Killer 7, Gotcha Force :P haha- okay so I had to throw in one game that only I probably like. I do agree they’ve stepped it up in a lot of area’s but last gen was long and I think it’s not fair to say it sucked or had no good games. There were TONS of other niche gems to boot, in my humble opinion, of course. Thoughts on that? Maybe none of these are your style.

Ghost Trick sounds interesting, especially the part about it being developed partly by the Ace Attorney team.
