Meet The Four Warriors Of Light

Square Enix’s Tokyo Game Show trailer for The Four Warriors of Light: Final Fantasy Gaiden briefly introduces Brand, Unita, Aire — the three characters from Horun and Jusqua before heading into a combat montage.

Players can switch their characters abilities by equipping different headgear. Other items change your characters apperance so you can have a knight dressed in a graduation gown if you like.

The Four Warriors of Light: Final Fantasy Gaiden is slated to come out on October 29 in Japan.

The game looks great. As far as I’m concerned, this is Final Fantasy XIII, not the abomination that’s coming in December. Square Enix needs to announce an American release date.

“Other items change your characters apperance so you can have a knight dressed in a graduation gown if you like.”

If I can have a certain ability and still be able to wear costumes I want would be great! I like the outfits so much that I would wear them even though if they were linked to a job that sucks, I’ll put up with it for awhile, lol!

Also looking forward to this game much more.

  • I will DAY ONE the English release WITH UTMOST VIOLENCE.

  • Can’t wait for this. It looks so beautiful everytime they show off a trailer.

I REALLY want an artbook for the game. I wish Square Enix would release an artbook with art from all the games Yoshida has done for them. He’s the only good character designer Square Enix has left.

    Dear Siliconera: I love you.

Every other news site I read is filled with hate for this game, yet all I feel here is love. Everyone says “rehash” or “more of the same!” yet this article is filled with appreciation, even if the game isn’t anything completely original. Much love to you, commenters.

I’m still not sold on this one yet, but I absolutely love the backgrounds and towns.

I used to try and post on Kotaku, but you’re right, Ereek! Siliconera is the site I also go to for people that all love video games. It’s sad that positivity is a rare commodity on the internet, but I find myself refreshing old posts on Siliconera just to see if anyone else has posted.

As for the game,it looks gorgeous. It’s interesting how amazing art styles and ideas are being utilized on portable systems, while FF XIII seems like an amalgamation of the futuristic iterations in FF, mixed in with a smattering of story/character tropes.

*drools* yes, SE that is the way to use the DS’s graphic capacities! And as much as I like my story driven RPGs, I still love ones that focus on exploration like this!

  • EvilAkito

Wow. I first gave this game nothing more than a passing glance, but it looks pretty cool from the trailer.

  • ShinNoKami

    I must say… the graphics are beautiful…

I like the music a lot, I’m ot entirely sold yet, but it’s very pretty! I’ll be keeping my eye on this.
