Zangeki no Reginleiv Is Nintendo’s Next MotionPlus Game

By Spencer . November 16, 2009 . 2:39am

image More details about Zangeki no Reginleiv (previously called Dynamic Zan) are trickling in thanks to online retailer Neowing.

Their product description says Zangeki no Reginleiv supports Wii MotionPlus. Players use the remote like a sword to slash monsters at any angle. Don’t like motion control? Zangeki no Reginleiv is Classic Controller compatible. When far away you can use magic on your gigantic foes. There are over 300 types of weapons to play with too. Neowing confirms Zangeki no Reginleiv’s release date and four player online mode too.

Zangeki no Reginleiv sounds a lot like another Sandlot developed series, Earth Defense Force with a Norse mythology twist. Japanese gamers will get to sample Nintendo’s bloodthirsty side on February 11, 2010.

I guess it has little chances of arriving here, so I’ll probably just import (and hopefully it will be multilanguage).

Good. While I might try and slash a bit for some fun, overall I’ll probably want to use the CC if I need to play for extended periods of time. Even if it kind of sucks. Any chances it will support the GC pad as well?

I think Motion+ support might bump it’s chances at localization.

On the other hand, like I said in that other post… I’ve yet to see NOA take on a M rated game. Disaster and PZ4 have been both passed over, and Reggie’s excuses are not too convincing.

It might come to Europe though? That would be cool. Uhm. Maybe I’ll wait a bit.

Very interesting indeed. I heard Ishaan talking about this already and it struck my fancy. Hm, I wonder if they’re going to have customization of characters to go along with the 300 weapons. I like the Earth Defense Force reference but I don’t have any options for importing Wii games. I’ll cross my fingers that it makes it here. I mean, if Oneechanbara-VorteX’s Wii version got released here, there’s hope.

oh man Earth Defense Force? That would be a great port for the Wii!

Not too excited about EDF, but Dynamic Zan? Count me in.

i think the fact that its a wii motion plus game gives it a good chance of localization. I really hope it comes here
