See Final Fight With Fancy Filters

Capcom is packaging arcade classics, Final Fight and Magic Sword, into a double feature downloadable game called Final Fight: Double Impact. Neither game was made with HDTVs in mind so Capcom is cleaning up the graphics with visual filters.

 

Here’s what Final Fight looks like in classic mode.

And my personal favorite, arcade monitor with a virtual cabinent. Gotta appreciate details like the concave angle and scan lines.

Both games utilize GGPO netcode for online co-op and are scheduled to arrive in April, 2010. Proper Games, the Scotland based studio behind Flock, is handling the port.

    LOL at the last one. The Atari Anthology for Xbox also had something like that.

    Well, I would probably use the original mode anyway.

    The cabinet skin looks pretty cool. I wonder if the PS3 version will get an update for 3D mode, so you get an even more genuine feeling of being at an arcade.

    GGPO netcode means I might actually get this. Considering most oldschool ports by backbone or whoever SNK outsources to have had god awful netcode and ugly filtering, this is a big step in the right direction.

    i hate wallpaper, but that is something else entirely. well done. i could actually see myself using that … for a while before switching to classic. it is miles better than the stupid wallpapers we got in raiden 4, mark of the wolves, and mushihimesama, though.
