Next year, a new Clash of the Titans movie will be in theaters and there’s a video game tie in. Bet you didn’t see that coming! The actual surprise is Yoshiki Okamoto’s studio, Game Republic is involved with it.

Namco Bandai is working with Game Republic on Clash of the Titans: The Video Game for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. One mode follows Perseus and the film. Another mode has original bosses to fight. Given the setting, it’s hard not to compare this to God of War, but we’ll resist temptation for now.

Have a look at what the developer of Folklore and Genji: Days of the Blade developer has been working on for the past few years.

Would have been awesomer if it were based on the original Clash of the Titans, playing as Harry Hamlin and having Ray Harryhausen style monsters and animation.

Is this the same game they showed off before? I think it was at GamesCon, but it had a different name. Seems very similar to that.

Banditking that was a WAY different game. Your thinking of Majin: The Forgotten Realm at least I think that what it was called. That game was more similar to The Last Guardian while this game is more like God of War.
