I guess now we know what game Famitsu was talking about last week when they said the sequel to a popular robot action game would be featured in this week’s issue.

nice a new AC for the fans ^^

Until I get an HDTV, I’m never playing another console AC game again. I have to have my PS3 hooked-up to a SDTV, and most games have smaller sized font in AC4: For Answer it was ridiculously teeennnnyyy tinnnyyy text. And there was so much of it, and it was really important to get all the info on the parts and stuff… Ugh, it was terrible lol. I enjoyed blowing crap up with a giant mech, and I’d love to pick up AC5 if it comes to PS3- I’d just enjoy a HDTV first. :p

You don’t play Armored Core for the story, besides, everything in Armored Core 4 and for Answer has voice acting so you don’t really need to read the text. The text in the menu system is large as well.

The Armored Core series is amazing so a fifth title will be a welcome. Since they’re announcing AC5 though, that means that there are going to be some changes. Every number AC is followed by expansions that keep the same set ups etc but add more storyline, equipment, and weapons.

I still prefer the earlier AC titles though. There are just changes to the newer games I don’t like.

This is awesome. AC is the best mech series ever (gundam games suck and others arent as good or skill need and development as ac) I´d love if it had offline (split screen) coop. Hopeit gets a nice location or ill import the jap one as i did with acfa wich was awesome and had lot of parts.

In regard to the “best mech series”, I must say, it’s too bad consoles never got a proper version of Mechwarrior 2. Oh well, I guess the PC game would have been unmanageable with a joypad anyway.
