Hands On Slider, SCEJ’s PlayStation Move Game Where…

slider … you help a girl, riding an office chair, escape from the Yakuza.

Slider (working title) wasn’t revealed last night, but Sony showed it today, ten minutes ago actually, and it’s SCEJ’s only announced PlayStation Move title. The concept is quite simple. You use the PlayStation Move to guide the girl. Tilt it to turn. Flick it up to jump. While you’re rolling down a hill you can duck under objects by pressing the trigger button and spin the chair in midair with the move button.

The girl is a secretary and one of the playable characters. A dude detective is the other. So far, he hasn’t been selected, but I hear he wears a tie and has suspenders.

Get to the goal and you escape in a broken down van. While Slider sounds like a short game, Sony plans to make it a full title with many levels. As offbeat as this sounds, Slider is confirmed for North America. It’s a PlayStation Move launch title.

  • … I really hope that it’s a budget title. Based on the premise, I don’t think I could see many people paying $49 or $59 for it.

    • Code

Really? I think the premise is great, I’ve often wondered what it’d be like to roll down a hill on an office chair well the yakuza chase me! rar, I’m sure it’s amazing and everything I’ve dreamed >w<!

      • Oh, I like the premise too. Just I’m not sure if its the kind of game that would really appeal to a wide audience of people.

  • SlashZaku

Really does seem like a PSN-esque title. Interesting nonetheless.

  • nyobzoo

well this game almost has me sold

  • Vino (Tim N)

I’m interested. I don’t want to buy PS3 Move right away, but if Sony can convince me too, then maybe.

  • I was expecting something a little less crazy for a game that is premiering with PS Move. After watching a video of people playing the game the chair doesn’t seem to move too smoothly.

Also, I kind of already played this on Incredible Crisis :P

  • JMK

Judging from the discription, this sounds like it be implemented just fine with Sixaxis.
