TiltFX Gives PSP Tilt Control

imageThanks (maybe?) to Datel you can play WipEout Pure and Tomb Raider: Anniversary with tilt control. Just purchase a TiltFX from their online store for $19.99, plug it into your PSP’s remote jack, and you’re ready to go.

Datel also created Custom FX profiles which alter physics so you can do ridiculously high jumps and float back to ground in games like Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. Looks gimmicky, but it might be fun to use with LocoRoco, which seems to be made for this device.

  • I already have problems tilting the screen to unviewable angles with WipEout. This might feel intuitive. Generally, though, I don’t like tilt controls for hand-helds unless they’re ultra-sensitive, meaning I don’t tilt the screen more than 15-20 degrees away from perpendicular to my eyes.

    not bad
    id like to test it

I didn’t really like Six Axis tilt controls on the PS3 or playing Super Mario Kart Wii with the Wiimote wheel, so won’t bother with this.

I’d rather purchase an actual wheel. Then I wouldn’t have to hope I’m tilting enough. Unfortunately, most handhelds can’t use controller accessories.

  • Why? Tilt controls are teh sux0rz! Sixaxis/Wiimote Tilting/iPhone are all crap… They always make me wish for regular controls!
