How About A Falcom x Nippon Ichi x Acquire Collaboration?

image Japanese message boards have been buzzing about a tweet from Acquire’s president. Apparently, he had a meeting with the president of Falcom and Nippon Ichi in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Nippon Ichi is based far away in Gifu. Someone had to travel for the gathering. It is, however, just a tweet. So, don’t get your hopes up for Classic Dungeon x Ys or anything yet.


Acquire and Nippon Ichi have been working together on the What Did I Do To Deserve This, My Lord series. Tokyo based Acquire develops the games and NIS America localizes them with a dash of Internet humor. Nippon Ichi is also pro-crossovers as seen by games like Cross Edge and Trinity Universe which feature Disgaea characters.

      They could get Falcom to do the game design and music, NIS to do sprite-work and special effects, and Acquire to publish.

        the way you’re describing it, you’ve got only one cook in the kitchen, a plating specialist, and a waiter. that ain’t much of a proper collaboration in video game production if you ask me.
