Little King’s Story, while a well-received game, released to a cold reception in Japan. As part of an ongoing initiative to pull themselves out of the red, Marvelous are licensing it to a mobile phone developer.
Mobile internet portal, CA Mobile, sent out a press release to Japanese blog My Game News Flash, touching upon the features of the mobile adaptation.
For the mobile game, the townsfolk tossing action elements were tweaked into a point and click game to make Little King’s Story more accessible to casual players. Also new to the game is a social interaction system by which you can exchange treasures with other players to help complete their collection. Little King’s Story will be use a free-to-play model on mobile phones, although, players will be able to buy certain in-game items via microtransactions.
Perhaps a more proper iPhone or iPad version is in order next?
