image Sengoku Basara 3 just got a release date. Capcom rescheduled the Japanese release from spring 2010 to July 29.

You can get the third game in the Sengoku Basara series on PlayStation 3 and Wii. Both versions have the same main campaign. In Japan, the Wii version is 1,000 yen ($13) cheaper, but it lacks online play Capcom included in the PlayStation 3 release.

Capcom USA announced plans to release Sengoku Basara 3 under the name Sengoku Basara: Samurai Heroes. They aren’t pulling a Devil Kings either. All of the references to the Sengoku period will be in the Western version, which is slated for release sometime this year.

  • To make up for the lack of online play, I hope Capcom would include Sengoku Basara Cross, aka the Sengoku Basara fighting game that Arc System Works developed for Capcom.
