The Next Nintendo DS Game From Atlus Is…

By Spencer . May 25, 2010 . 1:19pm

You may be snickering, but these microgame compilations from European developer Nordcurrent are micro cash cows for Atlus. Last year, 101-in-1 Party Megamix for Wii had strong overseas sales and contributed to one of Atlus USA’s most profitable periods.

101 games for $19.99 that’s less than twenty cents per flash-like game. Arm wrestling, tree climbing, calf roping, capoeria, and a guy playing tennis on a soccer field* are included. We’re kidding about the last one even though it’s on the cover.

101-in-1 Sports Megamix comes out in North America in August.

Even though it wasn’t an option, I still really wanted to see some localized box art for Etrian Odyssey 3.

Tennis on soccerfield reminds me of that god-awful movie Baseketball…

  • Eddie

I was fooled by the title cover on the home page………… =.=

…………………………………………….No thanks.I wouldn’t mind a mini-game compilation if they were actually good, but the last 101 Megamix was awful.

I’ll take Luminous Arc 3 instead please.

    • Agreed. Maybe it would have been slightly better if all 101 games were available from the start, but to have to go through and play all the really terrible ones just to get everything was brutal.

I’m not surprised, the first one was successful for them I think. If putting out shovelware helps them bring over other RPGs I’m happy for them.

  • I actually bought the first 101 in 1 DS title for my girlfriend and we both enjoyed it for the casual fun it was (my girlfriend isn’t a huge gamer like I am haha.) so we will probably be picking this one up as well. I’m hoping Atlus will announce EO 3 soon.
