PM Studios Ramping Up Development Studio, Looking For PS3 Programmers PM Studios, the company that brought DJ Max to North America, is restructuring their business and expanding with an in-house development team. And that means new jobs. The Los Angeles based company is hiring artists, sound engineers, and PS3 / Xbox 360 programmers.

 

This job description, sent over by Executive Producer Michael Yum, suggests one of their titles will be a 3D game since PM Studios is looking for someone who can optimize 3D graphic engines.

We are looking for any types of programmers that have worked on at least 3 PS3 or 360 games.  We will need to see a resume and sample of the work they have done.  All replies should be sent to customerservice@pm-games.com

 

You will be responsible for the following:
o Architect, program, port and debug high quality efficient and reusable code.
o Ensure project functionality on target platform and that performance is above target threshold.
o Enforce good software practices.
o Account for risk factors and plan for risk mitigation.
o Ensure compliance to TRC & TCR requirements.
o Ensure good communication with other departments and provide status reports to management.

 

Qualifications:
o At least 1 year development experience on the PS3
o At least 3 years of experience in C++ Programming
o Minimum 2 years game industry experience
o A deep understanding of console memory management
o Experience with porting and optimizing code and data for the PS3
o Excellent object-oriented design and analysis skills
o Excellent communication and documentation skills

 

Preferences:
o Development experience on the Xbox 360 and Windows XP/Vista is a plus
o Working knowledge of most disciplines (Graphics, Animation, Audio, Networking, UI & Tools Programming)
o Experience designing, implementing, debugging & optimizing 3D graphic engines
o Strong Math and Computer Science background: data driven systems, algorithms, etc.
o Experience playing a variety of games.

        (lol) i’m not upset. it’s just the truth. the nintendo wii doesn’t ever get any (good) love from 3rd party developers.

      PM Studios said they were going to develop games for an HD console. Last I checked..the Wii isn’t one of them :P
