Gun Loco Gives A New Name To Run And Gun

By Spencer . August 17, 2010 . 4:19pm

The screenshots Square Enix sent us yesterday introduced the characters, but didn’t do much for Gun Loco’s concept. This trailer does a much better job of explaining just what Square Enix meant when they said Gun Loco was a “sprint-action shooter”.

So, Gun Loco is track & field plus third person shooting with crazy criminals? The Xbox 360 game goes on sale next year.

who is developing this? Not that it looks even potentially decent, but I really can figure out where SE is pulling these “out of left field” games from. Mind Jack looks terrible, Front Mission as well and this well if this doesn’t just scream generic then I don’t know what does, its like they specifically designed a game around stereotypes of western gamers.

    • Square-Enix. Shockin how they wud really allow this travisty to be in production.

  • This game needs to be retired ALTOGETHER! Granted SE is tryin to go somewhere wit this(WHere I don’t kno) but this really shud b scrapped. Leave the FPS to the westside(not that I’m a fan of FPS). SE stick to wut they kno best. Old-school RPG style. THats wut we love. Shoot! We done purchased every Damn FF game so stick wit that n give us wut WE want for a change not this bird crap.

  • Is it me or is that the rabbit head Michael Jackson used one of his video movies. *Remember…LMAO!*

    • Pull over, boy, and get your ticket right!

I love to character designs which were done by designer toy maker Kennysworks.

Is there a SP mode or is this just a straight MP only type game? I’ll pick it up in a heart beat if there is SP, but if it MP only they can keep it. I love the stuff Kennyswork does, but I need an SP mode to make it worth buying. Also bots in MP would be nice too.

  • This is really what they feel will appeal to Western audiences? My god.

  • I dunno, looks pretty good to me, but then again so does Mindjack.

This is definitely not something at appeals to me and I don’t think it looks that good, but can anyone really blame SE for trying to develop FPS games when these are the kinds of games that sell well right now?
