Nintendo Will Sell Classic Games In 3D As Nintendo 3DS Downloads

After seeing a demo of Xevious from Namco Bandai in 3D, Nintendo was sold on re-releasing classic titles updated with 3D graphics for the Nintendo 3DS. While 3D classic games aren’t as easy to bring over as Virtual Console games, Nintendo plans on selling 3D classics as Nintendo 3DS downloads.

Nintendo 3DS also has its own Virtual Console, which will initially support Game Boy and Game Boy Color titles.

Nintendo 3DS owners will also be able to purchase Nintendo DSiWare games and brand new downloadable games designed for the Nintendo 3DS.

Damn. EVERYONE was reporting GBA. Siliconera was the only site that wasn’t so you guys easily report the most accurate information. Good job but damn this sucks =/. Hopefully they add GBA down the road. It might be a bit trickier adding 3D to GBA.
