Pigsy’s Perfect 10 Side-Story DLC Announced For Enslaved

Namco Bandai have announced new downloadable content for Enslaved: Odyssey to the West in the form of the “Pigsy’s Perfect 10” pack, which adds a new side-story that has you playing as Pigsy in his attempts to “build” the perfect woman from a scrap heap.

The DLC costs $9.99 on the PlayStation Network and 800 points ($10) on Xbox Live, and also adds stereoscopic 3D support to the game. Here’s a quick summary from Namco on Pigsy’s new quest:

“Pigsy, the comical porcine character known for his one-line zingers and questionable hygiene, finally gets his time in the spotlight. The Titan Graveyard is a lonely place and Pigsy really needs some companionship beyond the mechs that roam the area. He dreams of the perfect woman and embarks on a mission to build one from scratch using scrap parts he finds around the junkyard.

In contrast to the main game which features strong, capable Monkey as the playable character, Pigsy is much more of a lover than a fighter. Pigsy’s gameplay will have a completely different gameplay dynamic, with a focus on stealth and sharp-shooting. He has plenty of tricks up his sleeves including a far-reaching hookshot, trusty sniper rifle, various grenades and devices, Trouble Vision eye piece and the aid of his trusty mechanical sidekick Truffles.”

Namco haven’t specified an official date for Pigsy’s Perfect 10 yet, aside from a vague “this year” timeframe. We’ll keep you posted as more details emerge.

Pigsy = Ooolong from Dragon Ball?

    Where’s Yamcha and Puar then?

You know it’s not based on Dragon Ball, right? Dragon Ball just started off as being based on Journey to the West. It ended up deviating from that story…deviating to an extreme degree

I wish more people knew about Journey to the West. It’s such an epic filled with bizarre adventures (but not JoJo’s) and wonderful stories. It’s so jam-packed with story, action, and journey, a game that completely sticks to the original narrative could be potentially more amazing than Dragonball or Enslaved or anything else that is only loosely based on it.

You changed your name? Or are you a twin?

        • Oh god, Jojo’s bizarre adventure! <3

Getting back to the topic, I used to watch a Journey To The West chinese drama. It was so awesome, words doesn't do it justice. Those were the times

haha Nah, this is the same person. I decided to make a new profile so I could keep the cool lion picture instead of it being linked to my facebook picture. As such, I just used my name instead of the pseudonym I had on my Facebook Profile like a year ago that for some reason didn’t get updated on my Siliconera profile when I changed it on Facebook. But it’s still the same ol’ me. See? This is just evidence that here on siliconera we’re such a close-knit community. It’s big enough that we can have good discussions about each topic, but also small enough that actually recognize people well enough that when someone makes a change, people notice it. This is how the internet should be, not a bunch of trolls everywhere

    • Like Malik said, it’s based from Journey To The West. It’s an epic chinese literature and I think you should read it!( Or watch it, whatever that floats your boat) :D

Now THAT’s a story. I can’t wait see the perfect woman built from a heap scrap! The gameplay sounds like the “Twing-Twang” missions from Heavenly Sword, which I enjoyed.

Loved the game, Pigsy was a fun char and brought so much laughs to the post apocalyptic world, definitely getting this DLC. I hope they would throw in Trip’s robotic skin as a bonus, but that was like a Best buy or GS exclusive..

yeah i noticed they were missing the “goblin” or however u translate him. he was roughly translated “water demon/ghost.”
its funny I was born in South Korea and basically Journey to the West is very hard to avoid. They have kid’s version of this in like 9809823094823 diff books and forms. i know it’s just using ideas but woulda been nice to see another char.
altho i think it’s perfect the way it is…the world feels so lonely and really makes u love the few characters that are alive. makes u empathize them more. loved this game…just so short.
