This Week In Sales: Other S

By Ishaan . December 29, 2010 . 4:27pm

4Gamer won’t be releasing sales data this week, so we’re going to be left wondering about The 3rd Birthday’s sales until Media-Create release the source chart they refer to. According to Enterbrain’s top-ten chart, however, Square’s PSP shooter debuted at the #6 position, just below Donkey Kong Country Returns.

Keep in mind that numbers can vary greatly between different trackers, so if you want concrete sales figures, it’s best to wait for the usual Media-Create charts we refer to. It’s also interesting to see Ni no Kuni sticking around in the top-ten for another week, along with Magician’s Quest: The Merchant’s Store of Sorcery, which appears to be the surprise game of the fall.

  • Monster hunter in the first place?! This is definitely weird, hum hum.

    • RagnaXBL

      Not at all…

      • It was sarcasm xD

        • RagnaXBL

thanks for pointing it out :p

  • HarryHodd

Musou 3 off the list. Wonder how much #10 sold?

My 3rd birthday copy hasn’t arrived yet,I contacted playasia and they said something about Christmas and stuff like that please wait a little longer..Man I wanna try it as fast as I can.:D

    • Aoshi00

Mine neither from NCSX.. says need to restock, I didn’t realize they would be sold out so fast, plus the blizzards everywhere causing flight delay.. so FedEx and UPS got affected too. and you have Christmas and New Year back to back (w/ Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve being holidays as well making up for Saturdays)

      • This is very off topic, but how long did it take before plows actually came to your street?

        • Aoshi00

They plowed but did a pretty poor job.. I actually went to work in the city on Monday, it was like a dead town, crazy.. I should’ve stayed home, got stuck in the snow driving to the bus station, thank god someone helped me push… what a snow storm..

    • i just got mine yesterday from Play-Asia. i figured it’d take longer than it did, especially getting hit with that nasty blizzard over the weekend. it shipped the 23rd… i was surprised to get it so fast. usually it takes the full length of time.

AKB got 2nd place? Wow didn’t know there’s that many lonely hearts in Japan…

  • malek86

I wonder how many consecutive weeks MHP3 can stay on top. Right now, we are at four weeks. What’s the record?

“Fall In Love With An Idol” xDDDDDDDDDDDDDD
i know people have to follow their dreams
but that wont help japanese single men xD

    • Testsubject909

Love Plus is technically filled with 3 Idols.

A lot of people have fallen in love with those.

And it’s probably far more successful.

Though supposedly more girls would purchase AKB48.

      • malek86

L+ sold about 250k lifetime, so I’m not sure about that. And the sequel launched to around 100k.

        • Wow, that took me off guard. With all the hype it built, I thought it’d sell at least 500k. Guess there’s not that many ronery hearts in Japan

  • Aiddon

After hearing about T3B’s rock-stupid plot I’m thinking that it being in 6th is a little too generous

    • Yes, because all the other games above it are just oozing with epic story-telling.

      • Aiddon

unlike them though, T3B likes to think that it’s story is worth experiencing. News flash: IT AIN’T. It is by far the DUMBEST plot Toriyama has ever written

  • PrinceHeir

it’s good to see T3B manage to stay at top 10 especially with Monster Hunter and Pokemon dominating the charts.

I’m glad to see Ni No Kuni still hanging on. I hope it sells enough to see a release overseas. I can’t stress enough how much I want it.
