imageArc System Works is sticking to their spring release plan for BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II. Fans in Japan won’t have to wait until April or May to Break Burst on train.

According to the always leaky and accurate retailer Game Star, BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II will be in stores on March 31.

Their product description says BlazBlue: Continuum Shift II for PSP has 18 playable characters, the most characters in a BlazBlue game to date. The PSP game has full voice acting and new scenarios which explain the fate of popular characters.

  • FULL VOICE ACTING, woot woot, this game will be awesome with 18 characters. Dude, I cant wait for the US release to be announced. I really want to experience this one as it looks like it will be awesome.

    • PurpleDoom

If Aksys is as speedy with this one as they typically are with BlazBlue games, I’d say we’re getting this some time in April. Personally, I’m more interested in the release of the patch and Platinum for the console versions, although the extra scenarios do sound nice and I’m curious to find out what Abyss mode is.

      • Darkrise

Same, the extra content in the story mode seems kind of interesting as well. Still, I’m hoping we can get the console patch soon. =/

  • Kris

    Type B fo’ lyfe.

  • Life is good, life is PSP.

  • doubletaco

My wallet begs for a Makoto story.

    • Darkrise

      Only an arcade story. =/

  • Ren

I hope the second game’s DLC characters have a story mode. That’s all I need. And a Makoto and Valkeheyn plushie. And the slutty Jin body pillow to creep anyone who enters in my room. Hmm, I wonder if that thing is already on sale?

For some reason, I play BlazBlue better on the PSP and knowing that you can play online with others…well, you got my money reserved.

  • CONSOLE PATCH! High res Trinity the Platinum is all I need :D

    • FHOIW

      Yesu Desu~

  • I didn’t like Calamity Trigger, but I’d be willing to give Continuum Shift a shot. Is it any better than the first BlazBlue?

    • Well, it may not be your cup of tea at all if you didn’t like the first. I mean, there’s been a lot of balancing and stuff, but still.

What didn’t you like in the first game?

      • I couldn’t really find a character I was interested in playing, and the whole thing seemed to lack balance

        • Hakuman was the stumbling block for me in the game, I couldnt beat him for beans.

          • Code

rar, your strategy needs moar bowling balls~!

        • Oh, alright. They added a whole bunch of new characters as well as a tweak with the balancing.

CT kinda was a mess, but CS was a bit better. CSII, now looks pretty good though.

  • Wow, that cover isn’t even pretending to be subtle with the fan service. lol

  • PrinceHeir

please release an update maybe fall 2011 and make a physical release of Blazblue CS II includes all new DLC characters ^^

ohh and and you too capcom, we need these updates on the console now ^^

  • “new scenarios which explain the fate of popular characters.”

Awesome. Unlike for many, beat ’em ups for me aren’t about the multiplayer, the way a character is when you’ve become an expert with them, etc but about the story.
