Dungeon Fighter Online Not A Freemium Game, It’s A Paid XBLA Title

ara02Microsoft sent us an update about Dungeon Fighter Online. Nexon and Manga Carta 2 developer Softmax are working on a console version of the game. However, unlike the PC version it is not a freemium MMORPG.

Dungeon Fighter Online for Xbox 360 will be released on Xbox Live Arcade as paid game. Microsoft says Dungeon Fighter Online will have "online multiplayer features," but didn’t outline what these would be.

Dungeon Fighter Online is slated for release this year in eight languages: English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Chinese, Korean, and Japanese.

So you pay on top of xblive?

    • lag0morph

You pay to buy the game. I doubt there’ll be another subscription fee. I don’t know about paid DLC. I’l going to think that’s a probably.

      • HarryHodd

That’s cool. I see now. You pay for the game and play it on xblive.

    • godmars

And? You pay for XBL if you want to play online mulitiplayer.

But it is starting to sound more like an arcade title rather than an MMO.

    • If it is a MMO, no. NO MMO on Xbox requires a Gold membership.

It could also just require the fee of XBL and not require anything else. To much of a lack of information tot ell at this point.

  • “Dungeon Fighter Online will have “online multiplayer features,”

I dunno why but I don’t like the way that sounds. Like it’s not going to be the MMO like the PC version.

  • i kinda find this funny considering the character desings were all bootleg version of BB and GG

    • Oh good, I was a little concerned that I was the only person thinking that guy in blue clothing with white hair looked a bit like Sol. =P

      • and there was this one ad where it had a ragna look a like

    • Irony is that Blaze Blue didn’t exist when this game came out in Korea back in 2004 if I recall? I understand the GG ripoff part but sir you’re way wrong about BB.

  • And to think, only yesterday I felt slightly jealous that this wouldn’t be appearing on PSN. Oh well!

  • missed opportunity

  • Yup, I called it. MS = cash money.
I know there’s more to what MS said. Like which part of the game is paid, the game itself or the subscription? Or if the XBL version is link with the PC version.

    Questions, questions.

    • The owner of the rights of a game being developed sets the price of a game on Xbox Live Arcade. Given this seems to be a spinoff, or atleast a rebuild of the entire game as evident from screen shots, it is only natural for money to be charged for it.

      Every corporation wants money.

  • Draparde

If this isint an MMO then im uninterested. well its not like i could have played it with no 360 anyway lol. (i just would have wanted it on PSN >< )

  • Now is to see if you buy it and 10$ or what have you and are good as long as you have Gold.
Or if you have to pay a subscription fee and have no Gold requirement.

    • john411

You will have to pay Gold to play online, no matter what. No exceptions. Look at Capcom’s MHF, they had to strike a deal with MS to include cheap Gold subscriptions with the game to entice players.
