dun3a Square Enix pushed Dungeon Siege III’s release date back about a month from May 31 to June 21.

“Although the final polish phase has demanded a bit more time than originally planned, we want to assure fans and followers that the additional effort will allow us to deliver an action-RPG worthy of its rich heritage,” Mike Fischer, President and CEO of Square Enix Inc., said regarding the delay.

Dungeon Siege is now a Square Enix owned series and Obsidian Entertainment was hired to revive the series. For cooperative play Obsidian Entertainment took some cues from the Lego video games and they made a gun wielding vixen one of the four playable characters.

  • Darn! I was so looking forward to this in May (I guess they will delay the strategy guide too?)! Now I only have L.A. Noire to play in May!!! Guess I will be replaying that multiple times or something.

June is just a busy month though, for me day 1 titles are
    Infamous 2 Hero Edition
    Record of Agarest War 0
    Dungeon Siege III
    SMT: Devil Survivor Overclocked

And maybe whatever sees a surprise same month release announcement from E3…guess the final playable build will be at the show floor for last minute impressions…

  • I might preorder this just because it gets released first in EU.

That’s a shame, but Obsidian *is* the kind of developer that benefits from a little more time to iron things out.

    Well that’s disappointing.
