Get Introduced To Garcia In A Shadows of the Damned Developer Diary

Grasshopper Manufacture put up a developer diary for Shadows of the Damned earlier today, featuring executive director, Goichi Suda, and creative producer, Shinji Mikami, where the two talk about the game’s protagonist, Garcia.

 

 

Shadows of the Damned recently got slightly delayed from June 7th to June 21st. Now, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game won’t be overshadowed by E3.

    I keep getting a Killer7 vibe from this, like the part at 1:18 where the monster turns around to show a face, it reminds me of the big metal wing heaven smiles :)

    I’m usually not into 3rd person shooters but I’m definitely going to give this a try~

    These 2 guys are legends! This game has been on the radar for me ever since the reveal…Shinji Mikami and Suda 51 was enough to make me want to buy it..I can’t get over the name “Big Boner” haha like wow…Sucks that Shinji Mikami’s last RE game was RE4…Ugh Crapcom

    Their friendship reminds me of Yoshinori Ono and Katsuhiro Harada its always good to see two friends having a good time enjoying their careers.

      Yeah, it’s very nice to see game developers like them who not only respect each other’s works as professionals but also good friends even though they were not in the same company.

      This is really what Suda51 has needed all along, someone to make sure that his games are really fun in addition to his usual….awesomeness.

      (I’m pretty sure he actually made Flower, Sun and Rain unplayably bad as a deliberate design choice. Shine on, you crazy genius.)

    That’s how I felt everytime I see this game. This game is going to be magnificent, I tell you.

    The developer diary was very unusual that it’s funny and I ended up watching it again and again. This is a kind of game that I really like. Grasshopper Manufacture is surely one of the game developers I really like to support.

    Oh and let’s not forget: TASTE MY BIG BONER!!!

    The scenery concept is super creative..You don’t see this much of art in a game as Shadow of the damn…I love how they create hell… Just awesome and Hellish!!! But, I will probably play this in super easy mode if they had one.. Horror game is not my forte.. I will propbably get too terrified to shoot properly.. lol.. XD

    at first i was disappointed that is not Killer 7 type, but im beginning to love this game :P

    RE4 influence seems nice with Suda style. Not usually my type of game but it looks like it might be something special.

    I love the American and British cheesy dubbing of Shinja and Suda’s commentry, so over the top, reminds of the old Hong Kong Kung Fu films!!

      Haha! That’s why I really like to watch this dev diary again and again not only to see the wackiness of these guys and of the game itself but also to hear the intentionally cheesy dubbing.
