imageAfter numerous delays, Half-Minute Hero Second has been rescheduled for release on August 4. The news doesn’t come from Marvelous, but online retailer Game Star who has a knack for spoiling release dates.

Half-Minute Hero Second is a direct follow up to Half-Minute Hero with five new characters. Kenichiro Takaki, Producer of Senran Kagura: Portrait of the Girls and Half-Minute Hero Second, introduced all of the main characters in a Siliconera interview and even discussed the difficulty of getting the PSP game greenlit. While the Half-Minute Hero had multiple modes, the sequel is all Hero 30 mode.

Takaki also said Half-Minute Hero Second would have emotional events like the Sasha scene from the first game and there are still many elements about the game that have not been announced.

Speaking of announcements, so far Half-Minute Hero Second has not been announced for North America.

  • XSEED localization by March 2012?  8D

I’m kinda worried that we are not seeing this one in the west since XSEED is busy with Falcom titles. I hope I am wrong though, I absolutely adored the first one.
