Mahjong Cub3D has three different modes. In Cube Mode, you rotate your view to solve matching puzzles and clear the cubes. Classic Mode is a more traditional take on Mahjong. Finally, Vs. Mode lets you go up against another player.

Atlus are publishing Mahjong Cub3D on July 19th for the Nintendo 3DS. The game has 200 puzzles.

Mahjong in 3D is going to be fun. I do hope a developer makes a crosswords and a sudoku in 3D too.

*from an asian person* what the heck is with all these random block games using mahjong tiles that aren’t actually mahjong games..?

They’re solitaire games that involve Mahjong tiles. Therefore, they’re called Mahjong solitaire games.

  • blah blah

I’m shocked we’ll be getting it.
Or is mahjong starting to get fairly popular outside of japan?

    • malek86

This kind of solitaire mahjong was always quite popular here.

Don’t think we’re ever gonna see a competitive mahjong game, though.

        Isn’t there one on XBLA?

        • malek86

          Possibly. I don’t remember.

    This should be 3DSWare.

WTF is this shyte? After all the games Atlus has passed on recently, I’m getting tired of their get-money-quick-schemes… Leave these bargain bin games for lesser developers to publish. Not that I dislike Mahjong, I just like Atlus less and less with each passing day…

Oh noez RPG company releases puzzle gaem!!
I think it looks fun, and my sister likes mahjong… I’m okay with this.  Though I have to agree this is just another game that needed to appear on 3DSware.  Then again some puzzle games for retail never hurts (unless it is 40$).
