While we don’t have a release date for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd HD Ver. yet, Capcom’s community manager in Japan recently gave fans a sneak peek of the game on his show, Hagi-Toko. In-game footage begins around the 16:00 mark:

When Portable 3rd HD Ver. releases in Japan, players will be able to import their save data from Monster Hunter Portable 3rd on the PSP, and move it back and forth between the two versions. The PlayStation 3 version will also be able to go online through the Adhoc Party app.

I guess it’s time to clean the dust and keep playing Freedom Unite until it’s localized. :)

Yay it looks and it feels awesome!!
but wait……..theres still loading screens!? even in a PS3!?
…………….i guess thats a part of the mon hun experience xD

Not that i care about it but i’m curious why they don’t provide trophy support for these games? Is it so hard to do it?It would’ve sure boosted the sales a lot.

Because the PSP and PS3 saves have to be compatible with each other.

I want to buy it but it need less loading screens.

  • Unfortunately, in order to lose the load screens, they would have to build a new engine from the ground up on the PS3’s architecture. It’s possible, but they’re betting the experience of playing on the PS3 at all will give them some leeway to cut a few corners in order to make a profit.

    yay excited for this :P

    i wanna visit that place~~~

  • Are the game’s controls any better than MH3? I tried Tri, but overall, the system has some clunky elements, and combat control is weird.
