Konami is bringing a playable demo of Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D to E3 and it won’t be the interactive movie from last year. Producer Hideo Kojima shared this picture of the 3DS version on Twitter.

The top screen is where the action is. The bottom screen is used as an expanded menu with Snake’s life bar and a map. Kojima also mentioned a new feature – a gyroscopic sensitive suspension bridge players have to cross.

Metal Gear Soild: Snake Eater 3D is slated for release later this year.

  • fist XD

  • HUD less top screen is awesome, I love games lacking HUD’s, more immersive.

    • Yeah but it still has a HUD. It’s just on the bottom screen now. It might even feel less immersive to take your eyes away from the top screen and move them towards the bottom screen in order to see your HUD rather than just looking at the corner of the top screen

      Just an artificial non-HUD really, to truly lack a HUD you have to actually lack a HUD or move it into the environment like in Dead Space

  • Anyone notice the red 3D slider on the top screen?
    I wish mine were blue. <3

    Anyway, this looks /absolutely/ gorgeous.
    I never really paid a lot of attention to this game, but…my goodness.

    Looks like I'll have to keep an eye on it (no pun intended).

    rar, looks nice owo; MGS3 was still imo one of the best games ever made. I’m really hoping that with the bottom screen always up, doing things like switching camo, managing food, items, and medicine can all be done on the fly instead of bringing up a menu. But so far it’s looking good, hopefully some nice extras will be pack in too owo;

  • But will it have online? D:

    •  xD Online what? The only thing I can think of, is maybe capture the flag.

      • pressstart

        It was the first MGS game to have online play. Well, MGS3 Subsistence did.
