Oodles Of Resident Evil: Revelations Video Shows Underwater Exploration And More

Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D and Operation Racoon City might be more focused on the multiplayer aspect of the series, but Resident Evil: Revelations on the Nintendo 3DS goes in the other direction — back to the series’ horror roots. Here’s a trailer:

Revelations takes place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, and introduces Jill’s new partner, Parker Luciani. Jill and Parker have been sent to an abandoned cruise ship by the BSAA to search for Chris Redfield. Capcom point out that Revelations also gives you a chance to venture underwater.

Since this is a Nintendo 3DS game, you’ll be able to use the touchscreen to switch weapons and solve puzzles. Similar to The Mercenaries 3D, you can also alternate between first and third person views. Alongside the trailer, Capcom also released two videos of the game in action:

Amazing. It looks amazing. Atmosphere, gameplay, graphics… Everything looks top notch.

One thing, though: it doesn’t look scary. But they could be concentrating on just showing action gameplay.

Also, it would be pretty cool if the game had a Chris/Jessica campaign. Was that what the ending of the trailer was suggesting or was it just to introduce a new character?

Looks like a solid entry into the series, looks like the plot has lots of twists and turns and RE goodness. One thing thats kinda botherthing me is that we’ve only seen ONE freaking enemy type so far (obviously there will be more but still) and a bizarre one at that, im not sure exactly what it is but its lamprey like mouth thing is really freaky.

Uh…so Jill’s new partner is a chubby Latin guy?

Looks like i’ll enjoy this more than RE5 (and i liked RE5.)

Only downside is the poor design of the zombies, they don’t look scary at all.

why the hell did they change Jill’s voice again?

RE Remake, RE5, Marvel vs Capcom 3, and now this?

no offense to Michelle Ruff but i prefer Patricia Ja Lee(RE5) or Heidi Anderson(REmake)

still cannot wait for this, i just wish they just have one voice actor for their character. i mean they kept RE5 Chris voice why not jill’s?
