This Is What Sonic Generations Looks Like On The Nintendo 3DS

Unlike its Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 counterparts, Sonic Generations on the Nintendo 3DS is an entirely side-scrolling game. Sega released three screens of the game for E3:

All versions of Generations have stages exclusive to them, except for the Green Hill Zone, which is in every version. All three versions of Sonic Generations — and perhaps a PC version — are due out this November.

What’s shakin’, Sonic 3 final boss?

You’re not going to be made a mockery of like the Sonic 2 final boss was in Sonic 4, are you?

Dear Sega, just do a HD remake of sonic 1 & 2 to rake some money and give Sonic some of his old cred…

  • Sonic 3’s final boss is great, but it better have the music to back it up. That’s one of the best Sonic songs ever made.

  • Sonic was designed to look good with the color limitation of their 16bit machines. Sonic 4 and this game, with color gradients and all that, looks slightly odd. Just like New Super Mario Bros.

But I am looking forward to the game. So far I’ve enjoyed Dimps’ first entry in new Sonic series best (Sonic Rush, Advance), and I hope this one follows the tradition.

“All versions of¬†Generations¬†have stages exclusive to them, except for the Green Hill Zone, which is in every version.”

Wait, so the 3DS version won’t have City Escape? No buy, then.

Or do you actually mean that there are some exclusive stages in every version, and GHZ is not one of those?

    • AnimeRemix

Yeah, I don’t think City Escape will be in the 3DS. I know that Casino Night Zone will be in the 3DS version, but not in the Console version.

  • i want speed highway, frog forest and anything from the portable games will do me

All we need now is the (allegedly) Michael Jackson-composed songs that populated Sonic 3.

  • So the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC versions will all have different levels? I’m not sure I like that idea at all.
